I always find it interesting that VMP and Newbury can have colour variants of the same album (Exact same everything except a different colour and foil stamping), and the VMP variant always sells out first and retains a higher value. Brand recognition obviously, but it's weird.

My VMP order left Greensboro a week ago and still hasn't arrived at Jersey City. Anyone else experiencing delays like this? It's holiday season so...

I have an order from iam8bit that seems to be stuck in LA and I may need Kurt Russel to help out here.

What will get here first, Christmas or the Muppets Christmas Carol album I ordered from them 2 weeks ago?

Just got an email saying "a title you were waitlisted for will be available in Swaps" for Thursday. I rarely used the Waitlist feature (since I assumed it didn't work), so I'm a bit curious as to what flagged it. The swap preview isn't live yet, although there is an announcement that the third Thursday of every month will now be the day ROTMs and swaps drop going forward, so December wasn't a holiday-related on-off.

Off the top of my head, I recall waitlisting Monk's Palo Alto (which I eventually picked up during a TBT drop) and Method Man's Tical. Will be curious to see if either ends up in swaps this go-round.

Nope! My email was totally generic (and I have no idea what Djo is). I refreshed and saw the swaps preview is now up. Still not sure what I waitlisted that was flagged... Hub of Hubbard maybe?

I went for the bandcamp version of Talk Memory so I can't speak to VMP's version.

All four tracks leaked/confirmed for January:

Essentials: Sigur Rós ‎– Ágætis Byrjun
Classics: Barbara Lea - Lea in Love
RHH: E-40 - Tha Hall of Game
Country: Iris DeMent - Infamous Angel


I'd be all over Blackalicious in swaps if I hadn't already grabbed it back when it was the ROTM. I might end up just doing Hub of Hubbard or The Meters, as nothing else really grabs me in swaps and I don't really care for any of the other tracks this month.

Isn’t there another version of Tical floating around for relatively cheap? If I recall UDiscover Music was literally giving copies away for free a while back. I haven’t checked lately so maybe those have dried up as well. Blackalicious is a tough one though, I assumed after Gift Of Gab passed away they woulda been working on a reissue campaign but obviously nothing yet.
