Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

I bit the bullet and did 6 months.

When I went to the LCW anniversary show, the tour vinyl was $50 at which point I decided the VMP version was needed as it's a top 5 album all-time for me and the normal version is merely "pretty good" as a pressing. And as much as I hate their pricing, a lot of major label hip-hop is equally outrageously priced these days. And I'm a BB fan that doesn't have a copy of Check Your Head for exactly that reason

+ Lonesome Crowded West
+ 36 Chambers (fingers crossed I get a decent copy-- every previous version of this is trash)
+ Grace Ives Janky Star because the discogs reviews of it are glowing and its a limited batch release of a 22' fav.

Really hoping the Pharcyde, Badu and Big Boi repressings don't sell out so I can snag them over the next couple months. After which I'll do Moon Safari which was a staple of HS and see what they have in the docket.

I've done two BF sales over the past couple years but otherwise stayed away since roughly the time they ended the forum. But $26 a record is more than justifable and I'm curious whether their new plant will improve quality control.

You can triple dip if you’d like. I started a 3 month in jan and got 1 free album. Can then reup for 6 months to get 3 more then sign up for a year in October for 8 more. VMP said you’re more than welcome to do this.

thing is: coupon for "one free record" was actually just a coupon for $50 off whatever was in my cart. i went ahead and ordered two for a total of $16. if the coupon for 8 free records is handled the same way when my renewal comes next month there's nothing saying i can't get 12-13 for free.

Interesting indeed. So i's a $150 coupon for 3 months and $400 for 12?

i don't know if it works on non-deal items, but for sure does not spread the money around on preorders.

edit, just tried it and it does not: I tried to put in eric b & rakim and "discount code isn't valid for items in your cart".

but if you get more of the deal items in the cart it uses it as a credit. ie I have 1 free album but i put in 2 from the deal, it spreads the $50 credit between them.

coupon is only good for the items in their specific collection of 250 releases. i tried it on other things just to see and no bueno.

According to the website, one month and VMP Limited subscriptions do not qualify. It’s really unfortunate because I’m not eligible for a renewal until October.

so i think i mentioned before I got a little wild and reupped for a full year on NYE for some damn reason, so I got 8 free records. When I followed the link from the email, the code was preapplied to my cart, but didn't apply to anything in my cart that wasn't in the 250 record list. When I added from the list, it did a double discount application taking off the member's discount first then the remainder using the code. When I accidentally added a ninth, it was full price and my total order was still under the $400.

all this to say, i would be shocked if they have any idea how these codes work
