Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

For those who are perhaps a bit lost by these Canadian references:
Doug Ford is the premier of Ontario.
He is the brother of Rob Ford, you may know him as the crack smoking mayor of international fame.
He was a noted hash dealer.

People in Toronto warned he would be bad.
He was worse.

His first act was to scrap our functional license plates with ones that you absolutely could not see at night, for no earthly reason. That was scrapped shortly after.

His second act was to create labels on gas pumps complaining about carbon taxes from the federal government. They peeled off in no time, despite him ACTUALLY running a label company.

He was given a hefty sum of federal money for covid relief which mysteriously disappeared. That kind of went away mysteriously.

Further down the line, he sold off our protected land to housing developers. It turned out all those developers attended his daughter's wedding, which I'm positive was simply a happy accident. He's now currently under investigation by the RCMP.

He also decided to sell off prime water front real estate to build a spa on a 99 year lease, which absolutely nobody asked for. And built a subway line, that nobody asked for to service said spa.

Lately, his education minister has decided to add anti-communism lessons to our student's curriculum, because apparently it's still the cold war, and we must all be weary of such things.

A disaster would be a gross understatement.
Nah. That’s not a disaster. All of that is just a regular Tuesday morning starter activities under the UK conservative government. Basically what they do to the country while they wait for the Pret order to arrive

Not so sure I'd swap for the Comedy Store box, but if they drop that Memphis hip hop box into swaps though...
I swapped for the Comedy Store box a few months back. Being a Brit, I don't actually know many of the comedians on the listing and in all honesty I haven't got around to even listening to it yet.

It was definitely a case of me not quite believing I had the option to swap for it, jumping at the chance, then wondering why I actually did.

I could definitely see myself doing exactly that. But I'm gonna try not to!

I had the Woodstock box set they did a few years ago all ready to swap when it was offered up but thankfully had a last second moment of clarity where 8 realized that regardless of how nice the set was, that I would likely only listen to it once ever and then it would just sit collecting dust and taking up space on my shelves until I worked up the nerve to sell it. I am still happy with that decision.

I get why some people wouldn't spin this but I honestly think it's one of the most under appreciated things VMP has put out. The way they sequenced the albums and the fact that they included a bunch of the stage announcements and chatter just does a wonderful job of telling the story of the weekend with all the insanity that it entailed. I did swap for it and I just think it's an amazing time capsule that puts you in the front row of one of the most famous music festivals in history. I probably wouldn't have bought for $250 but as a swap I think it's one of the best deals I've gotten.

They should do the same box for Woodstock 99'. Or not.

Question about membership credits, if anyone has used them:

My membership ended this month and I’ve got $100 in membership credit. I figure I have two options - (1) renew immediately for 3 months or (2) let it lapse and renew for 3 months with the bonus record.

If I let it lapse first, does anyone know if my membership credits are still good? Or do they only apply if you renew immediately?l

Edit: Nevermind, it seems that a renewal for multi-months would get the bonus record as well. Am I correct about that?
