I was reflecting on @tonythegamer 's post and thinking about how much money I spent on vinyl the last few years; it reminded me that I really miss A-B's curated picks. I know it got out of hand with how many titles there were toward the end, but when it was ~20 a month, I actually spent time considering different albums and kinds of music I may not normally have. And because we got them in advance of them going on sale, I could decide if they were worth buying through VMP or another vendor. Glory days I guess.

Other than greed, there's no reason to pre-sell an exclusive reissue that almost always gets delayed by a few months. Just wait until you have it in the warehouse

Thankfully there has been nothing this year that I really wanted so I never felt the need to preorder. Now, since they killed the old forum and the feeling of FOMO, most VMP exclusives are still in stock by the time they are ready to ship, so I wait until they are available for swaps.

I still stick by "most" did not sell out before shipping. The exclusives page has many records from the last 12 months that are shipping now.

You don’t have to be a member to get what you paid for. Just a heads up.
If you quit today you’d get all the exclusives you paid for whenever they happen to land.

To be completely honest, I dont really mind the delays. This was going to be a box of 14 for me so scaling it back to 12 is just fine. And Id rather them delay then hold a whole box up like they did with Joel Ross.

This majorly pisses off customers who would be getting one or two exclusives per month (along with their RotM, perhaps). Since you would have been getting 14 records, receiving 12 of them is still over 85% of your order, while getting a larger box later.
I'm one of those who bought two exclusives at most per month. I don't buy VMP exclusives any longer because of the delays (TLC's Fanmail was the last straw for me), and am only getting one RotM per month until my membership expires at year's conclusion.
