The problem is at the $55-60 price point, it’s almost gotta be a 2LP set to make me not feel silly about buying it. Or be something that’s very expensive or hard to find other quality pressings of. Like I’m not gonna spend nearly $60 on tender buttons when I can get a good sounding press for $20

Imo its a nice final haul, I wish my membership ended in December so I could've grabbed Psychic Chasms and Jimmy Scott at better prices but what can you do. Will probably just save my Impulse discount code and grab those!

Sadly don’t think you will be able to get those with the impulse code. They won’t go on sale to non-members for 3 months I don’t think. And code expires end of december

Welp, there are better vocal jazz albums out there that are more affordable I can always grab. I'm sure Psychic Chasms and Jimmy Scott will be $30 or less on Cogs in the next year.

I thought about a three month membership, but the only thing the next two months I wanted was CCR and I have just about everything I would want that is in swaps. Axing the rock track really hurts because that at least was putting out things I could talk myself into every few months or so.

My sub is up at year end. I have $115 in store credit, which is exactly the price of the Fela box and there isn't really anything else I'd want. I fee like it's a no-brainer but curious what others think about that Fela release

I used to have the CD. It's a great comp. I would highly recommend, particularly if you have little other Fela.

I swapped for credit as none of the options really did it for me and I bet there’s at least 1 40% off sale coming in the next 30 days. My membership ends at the end of February and it’s going to take a Supreme Cliente- like album to get me to pay $55.

I still replace them after cleaning but I'm ocd about that. Very good touch

The Ramones' 'Rocket To Russia' is the VMP Essentials Record of the Month for September 2024, and it's pressed on 180g "Gabba Gabba Hey" vinyl with lacquers cut from master tapes (AAA) by Ryan Smith. It includes an art print by Oliver Barrett.
