First review on Cogs says the LITA pressing is better unfortunately. Mines on the way although I'll have no comparison except for streaming...have seen people with D'Angelo in hand already!

I usually take it with a grain of salt but what he said made sense, sounded like he knew what he was talking about..since when do we believe reviews on cogs....?
I can do those things and you should absolutely never believe me.I usually take it with a grain of salt but what he said made sense, sounded like he knew what he was talking about..
two of the three reviews on discogs say its bad because the color isn't like the mockup lol. When there’s none other to refer to?
Yeah for me it was really the comparison to the Golden Mastered LITA. I could care less about the colour.two of the three reviews on discogs say its bad because the color isn't like the mockup lol.
a buddy of mine said his sounded great, but don't know that he has another copy to compare to.
i think my pressing is LITA but done at Rainbo . the RTI one is quite pricey now i think.Yeah for me it was really the comparison to the Golden Mastered LITA. I could care less about the colour.
I got the Back To Black EU pressing from an Amazon.fr sale years back and it sounds really good to me.First review on Cogs says the LITA pressing is better unfortunately. Mines on the way although I'll have no comparison except for streaming...
Yeah, I have a white Respect the Classics version I bought from VMP when I first started with them, it was like $25 or something. It’s pressed at United, but at the end of the day, I figured the two or three times I play it a year didn’t really warrant playing VMP roulette. I’m not posting a link, cause there’s no reason to buy the one I have.I got the Back To Black EU pressing from an Amazon.fr sale years back and it sounds really good to me.
I mean all the extras like those and the resealable outers. It all adds up. I have my own if the rotm came in shrink I'd use my own outer. I assume all discs need to be cleaned when I get them so I use my own inners after because I'm not going to put them back in a dirty innerI mean. The savings would be like 0.10. Those sleeves cost nothing to make and prevent scratches on the LPs
the cost difference is negligible though. outers and inners maybe add 15-20 cents per unit, if that.I mean all the extras like those and the resealable outers. It all adds up. I got 2 copies of the Newbury Comics Tan Marbled Voodoo awhile back but ended up selling them because they both had quite a bit of noise for being supposedly pressed at RTI... It was hard to tell because of the colored vinyl, but I had numerous instances (especially in quiet passages) where there would be pretty loud ticking noises similar to that of a scratch where it'd be repeating in the same intervals for a few rotations until the stylus passed the passage, or simply static. I currently have a Back to Black copy which honestly didn't sound that much worse... if I remember correctly, the LITA mastering seemed a little on the brighter side with a bit more separation where the back to black had more bass & the drums seemed to knock a little harder (which personally I enjoy on R&B records). If anyone wants to correct me or provide more clarity on how they feel about the mastering, feel free to! But I just got the shipping notice for my Voodoo and can at least do a comparison between the VMP and the Back to Black, just don't have the LITA anymore unfortunately. This might just come down to personal preference with how you like your music to be EQ'di think my pressing is LITA but done at Rainbo . the RTI one is quite pricey now i think.
just got my shipping notice on the VMP as well, so i'm curious to hear it.I got 2 copies of the Newbury Comics Tan Marbled Voodoo awhile back but ended up selling them because they both had quite a bit of noise for being supposedly pressed at RTI... I just moved to North Carolina in September and with all the fulfillment issues they've been having, I've been very close to sending a strongly but respectfully worded email to just let me pick up my order myself just so they can save on the shipping cost (and the inevitable USPS damage )i used to be one of the first to get the ROTMs
now I'm probably the last one now
