Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Found it. It was Saadiq last September:
i'm pretty sure after brown sugar, there was an album to be rumored to come soon after. took 5 years. then 14 years or something until black messiah and there was talk seemingly every year that he was in the studio. there was supposed to be a live voodoo release that got canned...the linwood rose stuff...

I might go to jail to get a live voodoo album. Like comonnnnn, this 12 min version of One Mo'Gin needs justice

yea...i saw an interview with Steve Mandel, who owns JMI recordings. He was an engineer I think at Electric Lady and worked on all the D'Angelo records. He said a whole professional recording crew followed D on tour for the Voodoo tour and they have tons of shows recorded to tape that were supposed to be released and never did for some reason.

@Ghost if you haven't seen him live, you need to go. Incredible show. I saw him at Forest Hills in queens during the black messiah tour and it's one of the best shows I've ever been to.
I think I'm going to have to. He's my white whale performer, I've watched all of his black messiah performances too many times to count, looks unREAL. Very jealous of you lol

Asked a question about shipping today and got this in response -
Our fulfillment process runs on a monthly cycle, with a cutoff date on the 1st of each month. For example, the cutoff for February shipments was March 1. After that, our fulfillment run typically happens in the 2nd or 3rd week of March, when we begin shipping out February orders. This applies to both members and non-members.
Somebody hold me.

This was known to me. And makes no sense. People who pay for direct shipping have to wait up to a month to get a shipping notice
My brain just exploded with the February/March back and forth.

I asked what their shipping time for in-stock items is when their Product Page states "In Stock Notice - This item is ready to ship and will be processed by our team shortly" and their Shipping FAQ still indicates that in-stock items will ship right away. And why the default shipping time is actually a month haha. They pushed back that it wasn't and then fed me the line about my order being past the fulfillment deadline and it should ship out the second week of February! That email being sent at 4:41pm on Friday the 14th lol.

Edit: for the record, I would be pissed if I was dealing with it myself. I am overly pissed because these order(s) are going out as PIFs and I've got a lone straggler.
