Anyone remember that list he posted that he said a few would be crossed off by the end of the year? I don't think any have been crossed off, have they?

I remember that post but can’t remember that list!!!

I remember there were 5 bullet points and the last one was something like “always an obscure album”.

I’m pretty sure the 3 other bullet points were Frank Ocean’s Channel ORANGE, Kanye West’s Graduation and Queens Of The Stone Age’s Songs For the Deaf!

well if fiona is coming they clearly did 2 of them because jim sullivan is "an obscure album"

if they do get graduation for R&HH or somehow channel ORANGE i will go crazy, maybe they'll do songs for the death but it seems unlikely since its been hyped for like 4 years

in fact we have been waiting for basically all 4 of them for about 4 or 5 years
 
Got my Alex Cameron VMP yesterday. As far as the new tunes, loving the album. Reminds me of Misty mixed with Dan Bejar Destroyer playing in a low rent Aussie strip club.

As far as that VMP mock-up... Almost 99% completely opaque peach. It's like when you order a solid colored record but are surprised when you open it and it's kind of marbled/swirled and you think "oh, that's a cool surprise." This was the exact opposite.

Do you still like the colour variant or is the opaque peach disappointing?

Great album, mine is pretty opaque too, but I like the color well enough.

Yeah, I’ve heard the album and I absolutely love it! The storytelling is incredible and I love Alex Cameron’s vocals! And the production is very quirky. It’s actually one of my favourite albums this year so far!

@Joe Mac - Have you heard this new Alex Cameron album? I’m sure you’d love it as I get Morrissey/The Smiths vibes from it! 😍

Never heard of him @NathanRicaud ill try it out at some point. The misty comparison abovemakes me nervous though, can’t stand that tool...

I like some of Father John Misty’s music though. I really enjoyed his albums “I Love You, Honeybear” and “Pure Comedy”.

Why don’t you like Father John Misty? I’m guessing he had a bad personality? Or is it that you can’t stand his music?

I should like the music but it’s utterly polluted by his affected persona. I just absolutely can’t stand anything about it or him as an artist...

Yeah he’s massively pretentious! His stage personality is deliberately twattish. I deal with enough pricks in life I don’t need to listen to someone being one on record, whether it’s an act or not. Everything about him and his act just grates on every sensibility I have. His persona is the equivalent of nails on a chalkboard for me.
