Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

So we're expecting the Stones exclusive to drop around 10am mountain time? Is that right?
I'm assuming it'll be shipping in February and actually ship May/June?

I hope it’s a nice package for everyone in for it. I’m out though, I’ve pre-ordered the one with the mono and stereo LP, mono and stereo SACD and the Honky Tonk single. Yeah I’m Joe, I have a problem...

It's now on a silver vinyl instead of the gold that storf listed it with

This album is fantastic, but the colour of the record isn't the only thing VMP messed up here...

She was born in Zambia, not Botswana. I have the 2xLP colour pressing in red and green (colours of the Zambian flag) and it sounds great. It's her second album, not her debut.

It is a 19-track, 78-minute album, but the VMP pressing states 1xLP and 11 tracks. You're better off picking up a copy from Ninja Tune - The Return by Sampa The Great

VMP currently has the better price for the US though. That record is $41 if I get it from their site

Oh man, I was all in to buy this album, are they really cutting 8 songs for the VMP version? That's insane!

I just feels really affected for me.

I'm not a FJM fan either, but I feel a real connection to Alex Cameron's music and I think he has a lot to say lyrically, not just about himself but about society as a whole as corny as it sounds. It took a little while to work for me, but when it did I couldn't stop listening to his last record Forced Witness, which is one of my favorites of the decade.

That’s fair enough. I can respect that. I found his vocals really affected and a bit annoying on first listen so I didn’t dig in as far as the lyrics or what he was saying. I’ll give it another go sometime.
