For the same price (free shipping in the US) you can get the 2-LP 10th anniversary edition from Merge which includes the Get Nice! EP. I don't spin the EP much, but the remastered LP is one of the best-sounding records I own. Can't tell if VMP version is the same remaster.

I have Jorge and Sullivan, and still have passed on Isley’s. Which is funny because if I just bought by the artist name, I’d get the Isley Brothers record. But those songs on Go For You Guns just go on and on. I find myself bored halfway through most of them. Footsteps in the Dark is still classic though. I’ve only heard great things about the Isley’s press though. Based on music solely, I’d probably get Jorge though. Sullivan’s nice, folky, and safe. Easy one to spin whenever. Nice packaging. Music isn’t too standout though.

So funny what FOMO can do. I’ve been hearing about Demon Days since I joined up for Moby back when and I have been clamoring for the day it popped back up in swaps. It finally did and I decided to swap for it, seemed like a no brainer but as I streamed the album I realized that I would never spin it. It’s not an album that really begs to be respun, it’s great but lacks in replay ability. The weirdest part is I was trying to force myself to keep it as a swap because it’s the VMP Demon Days! Luckily for me the FOMO dissipated and I ended up grabbing Darrell Banks instead. But yeah, no way I’m canceling and losing my 1 month sub anytime soon, especially not with Aretha on the horizon. I took a nice 4 month break from VMP but I’m happy to be back
I'm in a very similar position. I started a month before you and Demon Days has always had so much attention.. Unlike you, however, I like the album. My only hesitation in the past has been I feel like I've listened to it too much and wouldn't spin it often.
I'm going for it though. I feel like I'm finally an official VMPer.
