This wouldn’t shock me one bit honestly. Phoenix and OutKast feels like a month that they’d have some higher projections for, big names for their primary demo.
But they probably took a notable hit with all these exclusive delays. And apparently Anthology had some issues too. Plus this really is their last real subscription period before reporting mid year earnings at the end of the month.
I’m curious to see if they go big, like shooting for a sell out for the end of June announcement for one last push. It all lines up with their cash first/customer second mentality.

I’ve still got another month of Classics before my sub expires and I cancel. I was wondering why the selection wasn’t showing up on my Orders page, so I went to My Account. My payment info has been mysteriously deleted. I put it in again and this is the email I received today. Please note that I have been a member for almost 2 years.

I particularly enjoyed the part where he called the 30,000 subscribers to a record store a "community". You almost literally told the community to fuck off, Matt.

At this point they have 30,000 they (sometimes) ship records to. It is a community in the same way that people using Instacart is a community.

I raised my criteria on buying exclusives from “why not?” to “do you really want it?” It’s resulted in me buying way fewer exclusives this month, which has been nice on my wallet. But I had to shell out for the Tanya Tucker.

This happened to me with The Nat Turner Rebellion. Been a member since October 2015, member of classics from the start... still haven’t received my record.

I think this isnt an accident, its happening too often. They are simply taking the orders or swaps and must know a good proportion are prepared to wait with little complaint.
