Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Anyone else still waiting for their November records (Brubeck & QOTSA) to even ship? I got some BS excuse:

"the reason for the delay is because of a platform migration we completed last week. The migration included a new system for managing inventory and processing orders. It's taken a little longer than anticipated to get ramped up on the new system."

Sorry, it was a bit tongue in cheek, a reference to an American game show from the 1980s.



But more to the point, you are surely aware that many on the forum are unimpressed with VMP's evolution. VMP has had so many chances to improve, with so very much time to get it right. Many of us have hoped they would figure it out, yet somehow they have consistently managed to make the whole experience (which was actually pretty damn awesome at one point) worse on almost every count. At this point, their "success" is really just a testament to the power of FOMO marketing.

To be clear Nathan, I do very much appreciate your positivity and general enthusiasm. It's an outlook that surely serves you well. Just know that when applied to VMP it is difficult for some of us to compute.

Yes, me. Got the same excuse and was told they can only ship 500 a day right now. They also said it would ship this week, but clearly that’s not happening. And some people are getting Mobb Deep shipment notifications, which i also bought. Total bullshit.

If they removed the club/subscription aspect of it and just dropped exclusives they'd save themselves soooooo much trouble. But the subscriptions is recurring revenue and it's good to have that consistent $$$ as a business. If they didn't have the membership they'd have to drop the prices on their exclusives as well.

Welp, well I guess I don't feel so lonely now in Noshipsville. They should have been proactive and reached out to us and apologized and explained that things are all f'd up right now but I guess this is VMP's MO for (lack of) communication right now. Been a customer for 4.5 years and it sucks how much they've gone downhill.

CService offered a 10% code but couldn't use that with today's sale. Only thing I picked up and considered a "deal" anyways was Fist City because all their prices are so jacked up now.

Plus it really isn't all that much of a sale. At least last year they discounted a lot of their records on top of the Black Friday promo code.

As for shipping stuff, my Mobb Deep still hasn't shipped... but honestly I expected it (along with everything else I've gotten this month) would go in the December box as usual. Not sure why some people are getting orders sent to them piece by piece.
 
Sorry if this is a RSR moment but I don't want to have to read over the most recent 10+ pages that I haven't been able to catch up on yet.

Does the swap button just not exist for anyone else? When I go to my account page it shows that I am set to receive Arethra but doesn't give me a swap option.
