Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

It also demonstrates the reality of why their forum was taken down 7 months ago.
It wasn't to "build something better" as they stated.
It was to silence / more easily dismiss the complaints, which (almost) everyone here already knew

It also shows what a mega-ego VMP staff have about themselves and their company - not surprising but disappointing

I also pissed myself laughing when he said they had not released a bad ROTM this year...

...I beg to differ!

Dear VMP - hey, thanks for the email! Oh really, you're sorry to see me go? Gosh, it's been so long since I've heard from you, despite all the recent changes and mishaps. Truth be told, it would be a stretch to say that I "enjoyed" using your service...but a few of those records you sent were not warped, so that was pretty cool....though I guess I did send you a bunch of money for them. In any case, thanks for the kind offer to come back anytime I like. I'll have to give that some serious consider....actually, that's going to be a hard pass.

All the best,
Stephen

P.S. Don't forget to send my Comet is Coming and Blossom Dearie, unless you already shipped those off to someone else!

Anyone in the States ever see that show Bar Rescue?

I wonder what would happen if we unleashed that guy on VMP headquarters...
Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve always suspected that there were far too many instances where the solution presented to an emerging problem was “let’s smoke a bowl and consider our options” and then the problem was then given a half-assed bandaid that only someone who was high would think was a good idea. You know, dank solutions.

Got this too.

...........why do you make changes to your live site without posting a system update message when you go to the main URL? I mean, who's in the IT department over there, seriously. Put together a system update page explaining the site will be down for maintenance until "XX:XX PM", we apologize for the inconvenience. And point ---www.vinylmeplease. com--- to that page while you fuck shit up...............I mean fix things.

The thing is, it's not uncommon for things to go wrong with updates to a site, but you don't do them live in front of everyone........you do it behind the scenes and bring it back up when its WORKING RIGHT!

Don't forget the good ol "Above my pay grade"
If it makes you feel better, Storf, I think most everyone thinks you two are among the least pieces of shit at the company. And it's not just that you are the ones sticking your heads out, the higher-ups are more well protected in every way. I was temporarily banned from the Anthology FB group for a pretty innocuous comment referencing Matt's infamous "more time" line.

Look, Storf is deflecting like a motherfucker. I know people who have done promo work for VMP- they are NOT a big company. Storf isn't reporting to us from his offices while the big higher ups call him up to the 10th floor when needed. He is not a cog in a large corporate machine like his pleas of "not my department/pay grade/security clearance" would really, really like you to believe. He can lend his help to anything he wants to in that office and knows almost every major decision that happens but plays dumb af when he gets called to the fire and people buy it.

Don't buy it.
