There's absolutely no way that it's only those two people on Reddit that accidentally got all those copies. We always talk about how the people on here (formerly VMP forum) and Reddit are a real small fraction of the overall customer base. There's just no way that 1) Only 2 people got too many copies, and they both happen to be on VMP Reddit 2) Decided to speak up.

Theres definitely more out there.

Reddit is hilarious. One month theyre all like “fuck VMP im canceling my account”. Then next month its “wow I really like Dave Brubeck this is the best club ever! Im resubbing!”
It’s because Reddit is a faceless mass of people. Storf is right that more people are members of the subreddit, but that’s purely because the barrier to entry is zero.
 
This is the whole "small co. bro" hipster startup mentality. It's 90% clever photos for IG and ping pong in the break room and 10% running a business.

The fact that their asinine, poorly researched blog series "Best Record Stores In America" felt the need to be issued in print like it was some sort of authority on the subject is just so god damned stupid.

In other news my account profile -- which has surprisingly been pretty much fine during this whole mess -- just suddenly reverted back into the "We're upgrading our system!" message, preventing me from seeing my ROTM selections. I have yet to be charged for my add-on.

Good times, good times.

I just went in to pull the plug and cancel my subscription and my membership deets (which looked fine yesterday) are gone and I have the "we are upgrading our system message" .

Like, holy shit.

You PAY them for a service. If you stopped paying, they would immediately discontinue said service. VMP doesn't care about you as an individual customer, let alone as a human being.

The vast majority of people aren't aware of these QC issues because they aren't here or on Reddit, so VMPs bottom line isn't affected a fly's fart by any individual's dissatisfaction. The only effect threatening to quit will have on Pauly is that he will dream of one less email in his queue. Believing anything else is setting yourself up for some major disappointment.
