Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Is this person on the forums? Because those replies in the comments are even funnier than the main post

it's not a metaphor it's aN aNaLoGy

Yup. That's me!

I had a 3 hour conference call and some time to kill. I apologize for incorrect usage of "metaphor".

Tried to kumbaya with the guy over a slice, but he was having none of it. Probably a Sbarros guy anyways. Not worth the time

I commented that it was useless to tag Storf in posts about payment, store, shipping, or QC issues, because all he does is says it isn't his department and leaves.

Nothing against Matt, but the "go ahead and try me today and see what happens" rhetoric is... what's the word for it? Absurd? Cringeworthy? Not very threatening? What's going to happen, you can't participate in a trash fire anymore?

Cyber high fives headed your way! (And in case the joke didn't register, I don't actually care about whether you called it a metaphor, I was making fun of the commenter on reddit who thought that was a v important point to make)

As a mod on a different vinyl-related sub (r/vinylcollectors), I learned really early on that A) trying to be a tough guy isn't ever going to help and B) you know when that's not the type of person you are that it comes off douchey.

But I do understand his frustration and pain points. It has to be a rough time to mod that sub. It's a sub dedicated to company doing a real life impression of the thisisfine.jpg meme

In terms of pizza, Storf is the guy who goes mailbox to mailbox to hand out the coupon flyers. If you have an issue with your pizza, or the delivery driver was too stoned to give you correct change, Storf cannot help you with that.

I don't view Storf as innocent as most people seem to. He participated in that interview with Cam, setting up his Experience Unlimited lie by claiming that he told him about it a year or two prior. He also admits to knowing about every change that's coming and acting like he didn't know it was relevant information we'd want to know about.

You’ve found a home here. Pull up a chair...

Only if pizza's on the menu ;)

(last one, I swear)

Haha yeah I got it. I figured some people would be butthurt by what the post was getting at, or that it was long, or completely frivolous. But what I wasn't prepared for was a complaint about the use of "metaphor". I mean, he's technically right I guess. But he's also technically just being a douche by pointing it out, so...what're ya gonna do, ya know?

Where I feel bad for him is that he's A) probably trying to say what's right to protect his job and B) communicating on a platform that is not supported by his employer (should never have axed the VMP forum) and apparently not part of his job description.

I mean, it does beg questions about why he even bothers to drop in. But I do feel a little bad for him.

I had my own Pizza tale in the Blue Mask forum. You are in good company for nonsense pizza talk

The title has to be based on a pun. My idea for a sitcom is A Pizza De Action. It’s set in a New York pizzeria with blue collar cop character Tony De Action. Here’s the twist, get this, Tony doesn’t realise his parents are actually in the Mafia. Cue hilarious pratfalls and Godfather references. Ray Romano is signed on already

My issue (other than his snark and elitism) is that he will chime in to tell you something is not his department, while also giving information and details around something else that is entirely not his department.

If it’s not your department, just stfu?

I actually also found the old place much more cordial when the staff was in exile. I hated it when he came back. He played favourites terribly, interjected in conversations he wasn’t a part of with terrible takes and could never ever handle the attitude back that he handed out. You’d go into the guess threads and he’d be buddy buddy with the same 3 or 4 people and would ignore or be dismissive towards everyone else.
