Vinyl Me Please (store, exclusives, swaps, etc)

Where I feel bad for him is that he's A) probably trying to say what's right to protect his job and B) communicating on a platform that is not supported by his employer (should never have axed the VMP forum) and apparently not part of his job description.

I mean, it does beg questions about why he even bothers to drop in. But I do feel a little bad for him.

I've addressed why I believe he does it and also why I don't feel bad for him in this very thread. He's just there to dismiss genuine critiques, gaslight people, and drink up praise from sychophants for working at a "cool company." It's just not very effective right now. He can go down with the ship.

Pauly is the only one I feel even a little bad for or have any respect for at all

I actually also found the old place much more cordial when the staff was in exile. I hated it when he came back. He played favourites terribly, interjected in conversations he wasn’t a part of with terrible takes and could never ever handle the attitude back that he handed out. You’d go into the guess threads and he’d be buddy buddy with the same 3 or 4 people and would ignore or be dismissive towards everyone else.

Thank you!!!

I responded to the mod team re: the ban.

Great job! Did you think about keeping it pizza themed?

i.e. Anytime I ask the coupon boy why my pizza never shows up or is given to somebody else he tells me I need to call the shop. I wanted to make sure other people knew not to ask the coupon boy those questions. Why am I banned from the public park and why are you the king of this park table anyways?

You couldn't be more correct, my man. Props

LOL great story! You're right, the company started small and felt like a community. It felt decidedly less so after the initial departure of Sev a couple years ago. I get it, scaling up a business is a delicate balancing act. I actually just wrote a piece on just that topic, strategy for scaling your business without losing the high quality of customer/client/patient care that defined your business in the first place.

I guess I just wanted to say something as both gents have been mentioned by name in this thread recently.

I'm guessing VMP isn't doing a lot of the things in your article

“Remember that Garden Garlic Sicilian Pizza that we sold out of and discontinued months ago? Well we looked behind the stove and found a couple more. We know how much you all liked it before when it was $20 a pie, so now it’s $38, want it?”

"I know people ate all of the pepperoni because we let everyone take as many slices as they wanted, but here, you can have this half-eaten slice we found under some papers on the boss's desk"

The phone lines and new ordering system are going to be a shit show tomorrow when Still Cheezy drops. People are going to get that FOMO bad and order as many pies as the site allows. If I get 25 pies, fuck 'em. I'm gonna flip those pies so fast.
