Yeah I'll probably grab that at some point in the near-ish future. I feel like it'll be around a while with that pressing of 2,000.1000% in for Fire on the Bayou. More Ryan Smith AAA Meters is a no brainer.

Nancy Sinatra is a lotta fun.As someone who has an open dislike of country I still say that nancy Sinatra album was pretty good
I preferred the more soulful or baroque songs over the more hokey side it has, but i can totally see the love
They got me on this one....even though neither of the VMP Meters releases are my favorites. Hoping this means they can do some others in their catalogue. It's a damn shame how neglected the Meters and Allen Toussaint have been when it comes to AAA releases. The VMP ones and SC doing a Toussaint album give me some faith that more will come out at some point.1000% in for Fire on the Bayou. More Ryan Smith AAA Meters is a no brainer.
Well this has been a pure joy to stream! What a fantastic album!View attachment 136315

Really gives me vibes of the old masters, Ben Webster, Coleman Hawkins and the like, although at 89 I guess he is one too!

If VMP (or any other label) did Southern Nights as a VMP Classic, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Saw this at a shop on vacation last week in Charleston. Asked the guy if he had any Toussaint records and he pulled a sealed copy of that out for SEVENTY DOLLARS. I think I audibly laughed and the guy muttered about how it’s rare and OOP. I didn’t bother to look it up but good to know it’s not that expensive hahaI'm hoping Speakers Corner do more after the recent reissue of Life, Love & Faith.
A modern record and very different, but this Bellers pressing off one of his last albums sounds outstanding.

Madman Across the Water
Elton John's fourth studio album from 1971, 'Madman Across the Water,' is available on 180g Blue Jean Baby vinyl along with a 12-page booklet.www.vinylmeplease.com
Don't get me wrong, Elton John is pretty great, but nothing special going on here except numbering.
Ditto to this. Very satisfied with it.Sounds excellent.
Just as a totally unnecessary addendum to this... I just had 13 of the trolls "reviews" deleted from Cogs. That's about 20% of them.
I think I'm done being petty now.
Never be done being petty.
