As someone who has an open dislike of country I still say that nancy Sinatra album was pretty good

I preferred the more soulful or baroque songs over the more hokey side it has, but i can totally see the love

They got me on this one....even though neither of the VMP Meters releases are my favorites. Hoping this means they can do some others in their catalogue. It's a damn shame how neglected the Meters and Allen Toussaint have been when it comes to AAA releases. The VMP ones and SC doing a Toussaint album give me some faith that more will come out at some point.

If VMP (or any other label) did Southern Nights as a VMP Classic, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

I'm hoping Speakers Corner do more after the recent reissue of Life, Love & Faith.

A modern record and very different, but this Bellers pressing off one of his last albums sounds outstanding.

Saw this at a shop on vacation last week in Charleston. Asked the guy if he had any Toussaint records and he pulled a sealed copy of that out for SEVENTY DOLLARS. I think I audibly laughed and the guy muttered about how it’s rare and OOP. I didn’t bother to look it up but good to know it’s not that expensive haha
 
I almost always get all 4 tracks, and I’m going to start adding an extra record so I get one of the big boxes since there is almost never any damage. Aretha is shipping now, correct? When is The Meters supposed to ship?
 
If anyone wants their GZ pressed Elton John fix the 2017 pressing of the Diamonds comp is pretty decent. Probably a more worthwhile purchase than this.
