Cowboy Junkies "The Trinity Session" 2LP Analogue Productions, 2016.

This album was recorded in a church in Toronto with a single mic and a single DAT recorder. Incredible.
Spun it a couple nights ago, here we go again. It's grey and horrid outside HOW BOUT I KICK THAT DREARYNESS UP A NOTCH WITH A LITTLE MELANCHOLY TO BOOT

African Brothers Dance Band (International) - S/T (Afribros, 1970 First Pressing)

A killer PIF from @Poly-Rythmo I picked up when he was in London earlier in the year. Crazy thinking about that now as I haven't been to central for over a month, the longest period since I moved here 7 years ago. Moving on....this is such a fantastically uplifting album, certainly needed in these sad times.

Lee Morgan ‎– The Roulette Sides (Roulette, 2017 10" release)

I might have mentioned one or two (dozen) times that Lee Morgan is my favourite jazz musician, and listening to this affirms that. Interestingly, this is a great example of the same music being repackaged and re-released. I have this same session on 3 different 'albums' now, this Roulette release with Thad Jones, this Roulette release with John Coltrane, and this Roulette session 10".
