I am curious to get a few hardcore Radiohead fans take on this as I imagine something of this nature might turn off some folks. I personally enjoy it quite a bit. I think of it as a love letter to both Radiohead and retro gaming (two of my favorite things) if nothing else it is a charming novelty for sure. just curious of others opinions @Joe Mac @gafacaode , etc.. what say you?

Another $5 USD vinyl deal. It's a good album. No issues with it 🤘

Rage Against The Machine [134/357]

Needs no introduction.

Before I listened to this album I saw that cover photo of Thich Quan Duc(spelling?) Self immolating. Such a powerful photograph, one of my favorites. That's what got me listening to RATM.

The agutierrezb 2019 record collection challenge

So I've decided to embark on my own personal challenge, which consists of listening every record in my collection before the end of the year. My record collection is not that big -only ~250-, but I still feel like there are a bunch of records I don't give enough attention to, while still adding more titles to my shelves.

For this reason I've set a couple of rules in order to play every record at least once before December 31st: I'll play at least one record a day, going from front to back in the way I have them sorted in my shelf. I can play a different record (i.e. Not the next one in alphabetical order) if I feel like listening to something else in any given moment, but at least one of the records I spin in the day has to be the LP in turn.

I didn't take pictures for the first two days, but I'll try to document the process from here on, so I'll be posting daily on this thread. Wish me luck!
#204: Charlie Parker - The Charlie Parker Story Vol. 2

#205: Art Pepper - Art Pepper meets the Rhythm Section

Pepper is one of my favorite alto players, perhaps only surpassed by Paul Desmond. The way he balances lyrical playing with virtuosic and passionate passages makes him one of the most expressive soloists I've ever heard. Note so self: I better grab a copy of that Village Vanguard record that has been sitting on my Discogs wantlost for years.

Well, now I need a game with this as a soundtrack.
I remember enjoying an album by Anamanaguchi.
