The agutierrezb 2019 record collection challenge
So I've decided to embark on my own personal challenge, which consists of listening every record in my collection before the end of the year. My record collection is not that big -only ~250-, but I still feel like there are a bunch of records I don't give enough attention to, while still adding more titles to my shelves.
For this reason I've set a couple of rules in order to play every record at least once before December 31st: I'll play at least one record a day, going from front to back in the way I have them sorted in my shelf. I can play a different record (i.e. Not the next one in alphabetical order) if I feel like listening to something else in any given moment, but at least one of the records I spin in the day has to be the LP in turn.
I didn't take pictures for the first two days, but I'll try to document the process from here on, so I'll be posting daily on this thread. Wish me luck!

So I evidently love this album, but this has never been above #3 in my personal favorite PF list. However, the first time I listened to this reissue on vinyl I had a sort of revelation, and was blown away by it. I don't know if this is a thing, or if this has been matter of public knowledge, but here's what I "found":
On "Brain Damage", the lyrics speak directly to those who don't fit in society in one way or another, particularly to those dismissed as "crazy" people. The song transitions to the next track right after saying to those people "I'll see you on the dark side of the moon". Then comes "Eclipse", where the final lines read "And all that is now, and all that is gone/ And all that's to come, and everything under the sun is in tune/ But the sun is eclipsed by the moon". In my mind, this means that even if all in life fits with our idea of how things should be, one day it could all change.
So here comes my "thought" around all this: when the sun is elipsed by the moon, the "dark" and "light" sides are inverted. The dark side of the moon, that inhabited by the misfits of society, is now "under the sun", so their day has come.
Does it make any sense? Idk, it's just something I thought of, and found to be an interesting posibility.
ClassicThe similar stack challenge looked super fun so I’ve joined in!
#1 Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion

I was able to purchase a used copy that sounds awesome and it just arrived. This is in my collection due to the JQBX gang. When it came out, I heard a lot of great things about it but never got to it. I love it. Thank you pals ❤

If you haven't seen Over The Garden Wall yet, please do me a favor and do it. It's a beautiful and well made tale for everyone from kids to adults. The music is awesome, the script is well written, the cast is great(Elijah Wood & Christopher Lloyd are two of the main characters) and the animation is beautiful. One of the best 1:30 hrs you'll ever see.
Then, if you liked the cartoon, listen to the Tiny Star EP and grab it from mondo because the pressing sounds awesome and it's made by the same guys who made the music for the series.

Well, that sorta reinforces the theory IMO. There is no absolute and definite dark side, for the dark side is actually light when the sun is eclipsed by the moon. In my mind it speaks about the futility of dual categorizations in life.Interesting theory. Except the last words spoken on the album are “There is no dark side of the moon really. As a matter of fact it’s all dark”.
