Tony Allen was an amazing Talent, I need to pick up his most recent more jazzy LPs at some point and maybe Knitting Factory can reissue his early solo LPs also, I would be all over those!

I've got plenty of those Knitting Factory ones too! They're great. Look out for OGs - they're pretty reasonable. Don't think I paid more than $25 for any of those. And such great labels as well!

James Brown - In A Jungle Groove

The only way to follow Tony Allen is take another beyond-incredible drummer. This is my favourite James Brown album, and there's no doubt that Clyde Stubblefield is the funky drummer.
