REM are one of my favourite bands so all I'd say is that every album above it are ones that I love. I like Monster, but I don't love it, I'm afraid.

It’s criminally underrated by R.E.M. fans, and I posit that if it had been recorded in the straightforward live-take method that was initially planned (a la New Adventures) it would be in everyone’s top 5 at least.
