What's Spinning

I have outer sleeves that protect my record. Shrink is mere plastic waste, plastic was that is so omnipresent that animals living in the deepest ocean trenches, that have and never will interact with humans, have interacted with plastic waste.

So you didn't like my joke?

Anyway, I agree with you, however when I have to scrub fingerprints off a semi-shiny black record every time I take it out to play or risk the oils staining it, I kinda wish i had left the plastic on.

And with the plastic on, i know my records arent contributing to the sea animals interaction with plastic. Now when the companies stop shrink wrapping my records I will find a new way, until then im going to make use of it.

One of the missing pieces of my B&S collection that is should rectify. I want one of the RTI reissue from around 2008 but haven’t yet pulled the trigger. Did you see they are reissuing the Push The Barman comp on a 3xLP clear vinyl? I probably need to pick that up too. There is no way I would every be able to track down all their non-album singles and some of em are soooo great.

Yeah , I’ve got the first vinyl press of “barman..” .those early eps are pretty essential..I missed snagging a blue vinyl tigermilk that just came out

NOW SPINNING: Michael Franti & Spearhead - Stay Human v.1

(If you're never listened to this and like concept albums, I HIGHLY recommend it. Many of the tracks on this album are fictional radio segments focusing on the case of "Sister Fatima" who is executed by album's end. In the Radio Segments, Governor Franklin Shane is played by Woody Harrelson. )

IN QUEUE:

Rob Zombie - Hellbilly Deluxe

Incredible Bongo Band - Bongo Rock

Mel Tormé with The Meltones - Back In Town (Verve, 1960 First Pressing)

I have to admit that this album isn't my jam. There's some good moments in it, including some great guitar solo's and some killer sax moments (which weirdly is actually Art Pepper), but overall its not something that I can see myself spinning that much. Im not a keen jazz vocal guy, and when some of the songs have a comedy angle to them (the opening track is titled 'Makin' Whoopee') its a bit too much. Not to worry though, this was part of a 20 album purchase that cost me £10 total, so I can afford to have a few misfires in there.

I watched this for the first time about a month ago...it's bad. Not a so bad it's good...just bad. The 80's synth music isn't too bad though.
