What's Spinning

LOL, never knew there was an EP........would beg the question why release a 4 track EP for this performance ;)

It was released before Grace as a snapshot of his early cafe career whilst they were awaiting the album. It came out as a 2CD legacy edition set in the early 00s around the same time Grace got that treatment. You don’t get a full live double album before you’ve released anything!

Yeah I was feeling the need for a bit punk tonight! It’s great to blow off some steam!

Still trying to figure out where I'll pre-order the Fontaines DC next LP. Everyone is killing me on shipping for it.

And I can't make my mind up if I want the blue or the 2x45rpm version. The 2x45 seems like the nicer package though. Anyway, seems like there is enough stock of both versions everywhere , so I can mull it over some more.

Yeah I just went for the 1 LP blue, I figured punk was a genre that’s more lofi and not necessarily what needs a 2LP 45 edition. I just preordered the blue to pick up in my local on day of release, I can’t complain at €22 for an album!

Last one in the MacStack, thanks again Joe!

Lotta nostalgia for their first two albums, fell right in the middle of angry teenage Joe’s metal phase. I probably prefer the debut but this has some great tunes on it too!

Glad you enjoyed the stack, dragged you into the punkish energy I’m feeling tonight!

I have the two LP version on pre-order, mostly because the sleeve looks really cool but I would probably rather have it on one disc.

The agutierrezb 2019 record collection challenge

So I've decided to embark on my own personal challenge, which consists of listening every record in my collection before the end of the year. My record collection is not that big -only ~250-, but I still feel like there are a bunch of records I don't give enough attention to, while still adding more titles to my shelves.

For this reason I've set a couple of rules in order to play every record at least once before December 31st: I'll play at least one record a day, going from front to back in the way I have them sorted in my shelf. I can play a different record (i.e. Not the next one in alphabetical order) if I feel like listening to something else in any given moment, but at least one of the records I spin in the day has to be the LP in turn.

I didn't take pictures for the first two days, but I'll try to document the process from here on, so I'll be posting daily on this thread. Wish me luck!

#240: Pharoah Sanders - Africa
