One of my favourite Poly-Rythmo's, not so much for the music which is a pleasant but not incredible mix of reggae and Latin, but for the cover which is my favourite image of them. Looking as joyous as their music. And then one of my favourite jazz guitar albums.

With 38 studio albums already in the books across 7 decades, you’d think it’d be a tall order to release your worst album art yet. Apparently not. Congrats Shot of Love, you’re off the hook

actually, I expound a bit. It’s almost like an alternate history, a parallel America where he became an Americana troubadour instead of a folk rock legend.

there’s a style evoked, sure, but imo any of the art used on the sleeves - the false prophet art especially- would have been an immense upgrade over what’s on the cover. and the font used for the album title and its placement just makes it look worse.

i don’t think many, if any, dylan records regularly make the ‘great album art’ lists, but like @D Jilla said, it’s quite an accomplishment to put out one of if not the worst covers 60 years into your career.

I don't know much about the Elemental blue note pressings.. or John Patton for that matter, but "Oh Baby!" Is a heck of record (grant green, blue Mitchell, Harold Vick, Ben Dixon round out) -- organ-led grooves. Poor sleeve quality, but nice quiet pressing.
