Sarah Vaughan ‎– Vaughan And Violins (Mercury/Memoir, 1976 UK Pressing)

I have very little music from Sarah Vaughan in my collection, and this carboot find was too cheap to pass up at 50p. Its a reissue with some great vocals. Not overly keen on the instrumentals, but at 50p I can't really complain.

@Melt Face Molly Drop I really enjoyed it. The album sounds great there is zero static and the LP was completely flat. I read some comments on Discogs stating it sounded compressed and not super dynamic but I did not find any of those issues. I don’t have a OG copy to compare with but I am completely happy with this pressing.

Yusef Lateef - Before Dawn (Columbia Records, 1958 First UK Mono Pressing)

Moving onto a rarity now. This is the first UK pressing of Yusef Lateef's Before Dawn, a fantastic album of more straight forward tracks compared with the majority of his others. If fact, it's very much in the bop theme, although he does reference some Asian influences at times.
