Syl Johnson - Complete Mythology
An odd, but good, one courtesy of Numero. Only two of these six albums were released originally with the rest made up of some of the dozens of singles he released. It's a real what could have been as he seems to have been always close to a breakthrough but remained unknown for most of his career. Still, Syl Johnson is a fabulous soul singer and every song here is great, even if not quite at Otis' level. Great stuff and each album in the boxset is better than the previous one.
