What's Spinning

My collection #1028-1029

Miles Davis - Double Image
Bob Marley and the Wailers - Live at the Rainbow 4th June 1977

It's easy to despair at slap-dash new releases with poor quality control etc. But both these fresh grabs are why vinyl is so great - fabulous music, beautifully pressed. The Bob Marley one in particular, it just gets better and better and sounds really good.

N&G 500 - my top 50

#9: Jeff Buckley - Grace

The first perfect album I bought when it came out. Fell hard for Jeff with the Live at Sin-e EP and was lucky enough to see him live (the only gig I ever went to with my Mum and she hated it as he played a lot of v loud stuff while she was used to Mojo Pin and Hallelujah 😂). What a talent. Can't believe we lost him so young.

This is the gig I went to - as the comments under say it really snowed heavily that evening. We left promptly so missed the snowball fight with the Beastie Boys fans.
