Happy birthday Steve Walsh.

Steve was the vocalist/keyboardist for Kansas in their heyday. For some reason, he tended to dress like he just left a 1975 Jazzercise class. Acted like it too. The video below is, well, telling.

If you can get past the goofy visuals, Kansas made some pretty cool prog rock, especially their early stuff. Think the ELO spaceship picks up Yes in Jean-Luc Ponty's cornfield. This double live LP is mostly that kind of stuff.

My favorite Kansas memory - went to see them in 1979 and got teargassed. Good times.
