Haven't listed to this for a while, absolute killer grooves. This is the French re-issue from a few years back that included a second disc, "Les sessions melody nelson'. C'est fantastique.

Rather embarrassingly I played the whole Little Simz EP before realising I was spinning it at the wrong speed. Much better once I got it right. Doh! Plus, perhaps the most interesting (and last) of the 5 Ayalew Mesfin discs, featuring some different styles to his normal one.

A great selection of dynamic soul hits. A bit strange this comp, in that it doesn't include the band names on the cover, just the songs, but killer tracks. also has an interesting sticker on the label, I imagine the funky good people of Amsterdam getting down to this actual slab of vinyl in the 70's.

(There are a few crackles, but the sound quality is mostly very good)
