this was a total blind buy from my local’s new release section, i’d never even heard of her. i saw her signature on there and thought, ‘well, if she’s willing to sign copies of her record that are going to retail shops, i’m willing to give the album a go.’ turns out this is glen campbell’s daughter. there’s even a really sweet song on here about her dad. the record is good - mostly groovy, laid back country/bluegrass with some songs having a southwestern vibe; her voice is weirdly similar to margo price’s, but softer - and i don’t regret the purchase at all. i probably would have flipped right on by had she not signed it, and i kind of feel bad about that now but, hey, it worked i guess.
