Counting Crows were one of my main bands as a teenager and while this doesn't quite have the emotional pull of their debut it's still a great record, plus a fabulous record from Senegal.

Spinning the latest N&G AOTM picked by the great @Selaws. It's such a wonderful album, featuring some of the best players of the London scene. I'd particularly highlight the fabulous, and somewhat undersung, guitarist Shirley Tetteh who is amazing in everything she does. Buy it!

More of a White Zombie sound to some of these tracks than solo RZ. I like it more than his last album.

They are in sequence. So the 12 pieces make up 1 second of the animation. Wondering if it would have been better to split them but as a collection I guess it makes sense. Because each was hand drawn there is variations which are really nice and the quality is definitely high.
The only regret I have is that apart from the piece on the outside of the box (which is loose) the art prints are bound as a booklet of sorts. If I was to frame them it would have to be the single loose piece or 1 of the 12 with the others behind (if that makes sense?).
The album is really great, the music sounds really open and atmospheric. Pressing is decent as well, no issue at all with my copy.
You can tell a ton of thought and work has been put into it. Vincent De Boer is certainly to be praised for this, lots of hard work and attention to detail.
