What's Spinning

Big Star
#1 Album

The 3rd or 4 albums from the Top 3 Classic Rock Albums thread that I had never heard of before and bought unheard.. thanks to @wokeupnew for the recommendation! We're a perfect 3 for 3 on these as I am really enjoying it.. played it back to back actually!View attachment 92462
They’ve only got 2 more records, “Radio City” and “Third”. Both absolutely worth your time if you have the chance. Third ended up inspiring a lot of singer-songwriters like Elliot Smith and Jeff Buckley.

I have the US release of this reissue - pressed at MRP

Does yours have the cover of One at the end of side D...and is it offset from the rest with the grooveless gap? I assume you have the EU Record Industry pressing. I was curious if other cutting facilities cut this the same way as GZ did.

I will definitely check the other albums out! I have Radio City in a watchlist at the moment..

@Slimwhit33 There was also Live at Columbia University which I have. I’d have to spin it again to see if I’d recommend it. It sadly gets overlooked for the first album.

Dread Zeppelin
Un Led Ed
1990 Italian Import
Out of Print

Imagine if Led Zeppelin was a reggae band...fronted by Elvis Presley. Great stuff, and this sounds really really good

I bought this from an Italian seller on Discogs. It’s perfect. The best $25 I’ve spent in a long time.

Saw these guys in a small club in 1990. It was spectacular.

Be sure to check out the band members names - sublime. And don't forget Charlie Haj, the man who hands Tortelvis his water and towels.

Yes it does, it completely threw me as there is no reference to it on the cover
