Any noticeable difference between the new Classic reissue and the Music Matters reissue from a few years ago?

Interested in @johnpisme ’s take here as well. I thought the classic was pretty underwhelming. Mastering is good but the pressing is mediocre (but on par with what I expect for a ~$20 record these days). I would assume the MM is much better pressing-wise.

That’s kind of what I’m hoping. Most of the Classics announced so far repeat MM albums I already have, and I’m not super-eager to learn there’s some vast difference that makes sense out of buying them all again. The only one I’ve picked up so far was The Real McCoy, and I thought my ‘70s pressing sounded better, so fingers crossed...

Yeah, I really wish they did the Classics series using the Tone Poet specs, but I'm guessing that would have been stepping on MM's toes too much (and also pissing off folks who bought the 33 MM pressings at much higher prices ).
