Figured with the RHS choice I may as well finish out my Willie Nelson
Willie Nelson Sings Krisofferson was an early learning moment for me. Early on in my hobby of collecting I didn't really check condition of used item and kind of just grabbed this on a "I spent a lot of time in here and came away with nothing whim". Took it home and it immediately got greeted by a roller coaster warp, or so I thought and took it off the table immediately and stashed it. I finally took it back out today, cleaned it, and put took a closer look. This was my first heat bubble! So regrettably, it makes A1 (Me and Bobby McGee, dangit!) and B1 unplayable, but the rest is actually...quite nice. Given it looks like an ice skating rink it plays really clean and is a nice group of tribute songs. This was a nice surprise honestly to get something out of it. It’ll probably get stashed away after this but for $2 it was fun.
Always On My Mind was one of my pickups from a used furniture store funny enough. There was a box of really, really rough records that was mostly your standard Goodwill level donations, but a few nice ones were in there. I figured since I was getting an office chair for my girlfriend, I could treat myself. It includes some water stains on the sleeve that actually fit in well with the cover with some nice sad songs, it was also my first Willie Nelson album on vinyl so some sentimentality is there.
The World We Built was bought purely for my love for the opening track (The Only Thing). It's kind of nice as a record because I only really ever want to listen to that song and Side C, so it makes for an easy pull and plop of the needle. Not sure if I need to hang on to a 2 LP for that but my love for female harmonies in Americana cannot be sated. Nice listen all things considered.
