The Woods seems to be an album that just gets better as it goes on. Plus, a fantastic new jazz album featuring possibly my favourite current saxophonist (yes, ahead of Nubya and Shabaka) James Brandon Lewis.

I guess I have a new rabbit hole to dig into...

What I love with him is his versatility. This album is a Quartet with him and a clarinet. He's just put out a quintet record with cornet and cello. Perhaps my favourites are his trio with No Filter, his duo with Chad Taylor (the live album at Willisau is excellent), and the album that got me into him An Unruly Manifesto with Jaimie Branch on trumpet. Happy digging...
