What's Spinning

Hey @Joe Mac - you have this? It's a really nice companion record...

Stephen Stills - Manassas

View attachment 117680

Actually no I haven’t. The only one of CSNY that I’ve ever really ventured into solo is Neil Young! Out of the other three Stephen Stills is definitely the one I’d be most interested in checking out so thanks for the recommendation, I’ll add it to my streaming list for the car and take it from there!

The Cabinet Ministers - At The BBC Jazz Society (Acetate)

I randomly pulled this one out of the stacks yesterday and forgot to post it. Fast forward to this morning and I sold it to someone in China. It's a strange one as I bought it over a year ago for just £8.05, without knowing who the musicians actually are or if the session was actually ever released as a commercial album (I dont think it was). Its a great session though so its a shame it never saw the light of day past this acetate.

The Collection Playthrough

208 - Robyn - Body Talk Pt. 1
209 - Walt Disney Studios Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House
210 - Streets of Fire A Rock and Roll Fable
211 - Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street
212 - OST - The Big Chill
213 - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

A true variety mishmosh bactch outside of the Robyn. The highlights for my among the newer grabs was the Stones record (which now I totally get the early split in opinion on, it's a trip) and, funnily, The Big Chill OST. It's funny, it's one of those that's in so many $1-$5 bins in thrift stores, used record shops, etc. like so many of the compilation OSTs are, but man, it's really just a great Motown sampler. I actually went back to this one again which is unusual so quickly.
