First off, thanks @Yer Ol' Uncle D for the hookup on this. You were right, I’m loving it.

Petty et al, are of course fabulous. It also sounds pretty damn good for live and digital masters. Mikey Fremer can yell all he wants about digital masters, IMO, done well they can still produce fine lp’s. This record anthology is clean, clear, lively, and engaging.

So I listened to this again right before I listened to this:


It’s funny the Leblanc has a hype sticker that talks about Tom Petty and I kind of see what they’re talking about. I actually hear more of Petty in this Nelson record.

Also, the Leblanc is the stronger album.
