Pulled this out after seeing @HiFi Guy play the 1812. This version is the recording that has the crazy cannons that cause the needle to jump the grooves on crappy/poorly setup TTs.



You can tell why by looking at the grooves for the cannon blasts:

This might be my favorite VMP release ever

It’s up there for me, too. I was lucky enough to get this copy (with quite minor issues) as a PIF. It’s really a phenomenal album.

If I had a choose a favorite VMP release without thinking too hard I’d have to say Eddie Gale - Ghetto Music
