What's Spinning

The lead singer of the Supernaturals is an accountant. I used to see him at courses in Glasgow looking thoroughly disappointed that he had to be there. Very good at what they did, especially the first 2 albums.
Haha! I've been kind of hoping that Last Night From Glasgow would release the 4 EPs they put out before becoming famous. I've got them all (2 cassettes, 2 CDs) and they're really great. It included what I think is their best song, Dylan's Day Off, which they kept on recording for Parlophone but never put out. (Both they and the label boss thought it was their best too). Bizarrely enough I suddenly found out that Rod Stewart had somehow covered it. This is the only YouTube version of them doing it that I could find

Always thought Robbie Williams stole the “Look at the sarcasm in my…” line off of Smile after they supported him early on.

Rush- 2112
2014 DMM Pressing

The album that really cemented Rush. Their third release, they thought the record company was going to cut them loose. They decided they had nothing to lose, so they did what they wanted- consequences be damned. The result was a stone cold classic. The rest is history.

Curtis Mayfield - Curtis

The other new arrival today. @MikeH you were right, this Run Out Groove pressing sounds fantastic!

It is really really good. And I'm not even biased because it's not a boomboom cut haha. I'm glad I grabbed that one and recommend it to anybody who wants a nice copy of that one to try to get a copy before prices skyrocket on it. I've been super surprised with how good the ROG pressings have been so far. I admittedly thought it was kind of a gimmick the first time I heard about ROG and their whole monthly voting to select titles method. Everything I have from them is killer so far.

Yeah same. Looking forward to the press of superfly landing now! I’d have got their copy of that brilliant Primal Scream album recorded in Memphis too if I hadn’t already got the standard press which is an pretty awesome 45RPM press.
