The Broken Hearts is a special one for me. My favourite band as a teenager was The Rooks from New York and I struck up a friendship with their singer and got all sorts of stuff from the past (original lyrics, unreleased songs, even a song written for me). One of the things was this signed LP from 1985 of his first band, which I had for years before I got a record player again. It's great stuff. They were due to have a second album produced by Nick Lowe but split up. It's a shame as the live versions I have of the songs are wonderful. Plus, more great music from Guinea.
