Ghost - Impera
I'd been holding off listening until this showed up. It's certainly different than I anticipated. I think the issue I'm having is not that I don't like it, because I do, but that I really liked what they were doing which was unique and I'd like more of that. I'll probably still like albums like this if they put them out, but I already know bands that do this sound really well. I don't know many that do their original sound as well as they did. Also in some ways this turn makes it seem like they're acknowledging that their previous work was just a play in irony, and I liked it better when the veil was down on the whole act. This lifts the veil.
