I knew nothing about this but I thought the the cover was so beautiful and captivating that I had to pick it up and see what it is. A quick google search of her it seems like she was extremely influential to the people who did know her (like Elton John) but never gained more than a cult following

I ran by my local today over my lunch to grab a few new albums but also picked this one up from the new arrivals “Used” bin strictly based on the album art. The music is not what I was expecting, the album mostly consists of some poorly recorded old timey Jazz and Blues songs. It not bad for what it is though it’s not something I would necessarily put on if I were wanting to get romantical.
