I ran by my local today over my lunch to grab a few new albums but also picked this one up from the new arrivals “Used” bin strictly based on the album art. The music is not what I was expecting, the album mostly consists of some poorly recorded old timey Jazz and Blues songs. It not bad for what it is though it’s not something I would necessarily put on if I were wanting to get romantical.

Not shocked that there were dirty songs throughout history but surprised that it was a popular enough subset of the Blues genre in the 1930s that it would garner its own compilations and Wikipedia page.
