Eddie 'Lockjaw' Davis ‎– Trane Whistle (1967 Xtra Mono reissue.)

Im a big fan of Eddie and I have to say, this album slaps hard! Its Eddie with a big band, something Im not usually a massive fan off but it works well here, with a lot of solo pieces having the band come in at the end to deliver the impactful oomph. Theres a few great musicians on this album, with the most noteworthy being Eric Dolphy (his Out To Lunch! album is phenomenal).

Continuing on with new year’s resolution of getting collection into Discogs. Finished another shelf today with Lou Reed in the Main - General Section. Entry # 2402. Time to enjoy some of the fruit of my labor. This one sounds great.
