What's Spinning

Tucson, AZ represent...

@scotthilk - if you don't know these guys, you need to. Also see Sand Rubies, Rich Hopkins, Dave Slutes.

What a great band. Was a fan from the get-go. Saw them in a small club in the 90's. They invited everyone back to the green room for a beer. Most folks went home. I complied. Repeatedly. Rich and Dave were so cool and gave me their contact info to send them a copy of my tape.

When I think of the ultimate goal of music (my definition anyway) - building that indestructible bridge between artist and listener - I always think of this show. That intimate relationship is harder and harder to come by these days. That's why your small to medium capacity local clubs are so incredibly vital. Support those folks...

I've never heard of them but am familiar w Sand Rubies. Thanks for the intro - I will deep dive now!

Also - this is WAY back, but my uncle was the manager of Tucson's (and International Act) The Dearly Beloved before the singer tragically passed.

I kind of forgot about this comp. I wore the CD out in high school - might have to try to track a copy down. Doesn’t look too pricy.
I got mine around the same time. Really wanted some of the Ruff Ryders clothes they promoted in the booklet haha

Yeah, it's pretty affordable. I got mine sealed for 30 EUR from a danish seller (vinyl.eu) on Discogs. They still have a couple left.
