What's Spinning

I may do an A/B comparison to the 45 RPM AP release, but going on memory, these are pretty close that either is fine. This one may be my go-to just being an easier to play 1 LP. On the other hand, getting it out of the box and the super tight sleeves may just make me play the 45. We'll see what I grab next time I want to play this album.

And this concludes my Doors marathon. It took a couple more days than I thought - but work got in the way. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase - and I no longer need to buy any Doors releases of these albums - and maybe purge some of the older releases I have.

The Doors – L.A. Woman

Rhino High Fidelity Box Set - numbered/limited to 3000, #621

I picked this up more to fill the hole - I think I only streamed it when it was released, then forgot about it. I saw on Discogs that it was reissued recently and was in stock on Amazon.

It was nice to see it was a repress of Boom Boom's cut - and pressed at Optimal rather than an unknown plant of the original 2012 release.

Marilyn Manson – Born Villain
Cooking Vinyl – COOKLP554, 2012/2024

Cut by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio (repress of his 2012 cut)
Pressed at Optimal

Continuing with the 30+ LPs I have not played yet since midway through the year...

V/A - Uneven Paths: Deviant Pop From Europe (1980-1991)

View attachment 220792

90+min of obscure sophisti-pop, new wave, and art pop from over the Atlantic.
Wish my backlog was only 30, wish there weren’t records in it I bought prepandemic (I got an opera box because Chris Thile was into it and have yet to actually find time to spin it).
