What I will say is that this is the worst sounding of the 4 Al Green records I have. It doesn’t sound bad but beyond the fact it’s green it’s just another Fat Possum press that you can probably get the black version of for around €20 in town. I’d be much more gutted if I’d missed the classics press of call me.

No, he's in my (long) backlog of them to listen to. Now you say it, I can feel a kind of affinity between them.

I think he said he empathised with the vocal and lyrical fragility. It was early exposure to this and, eventually, seeing Jeff Buckley live, that made him comfortable in his own skin as a singer/frontman. You should listen to it, this one and Guy Garvey are two of my favourite Desert Island Discs.

Last one for awhile. Really nice all around. Cover is a matte print that feels and looks high quality. Heavy flat colored vinyl. Sounds good.

Did you hear Thom Yorke’s Desert Island Discs? I was pleasantly surprised to hear him talk about this being one of his all time favourite albums, his love of it, and Neil Young. It really did surprise me, but shouldn’t have!
