I'll be honest, I found it in a dollar bin really clean and bought it for anti-skate purposes. I guess I should actually listen to the music!

It's so good! One of the best Smog records before he started going by his birth name, Bill Callahan I think it came out after his relationship with Cat Power ended, hence the cover, heh.

Xylouris White is Cretan music in George Xylouris who plays both lute and lyra and is considered to be among the world’s best at both, along with drummer Jim White of Dirty Three and produced by Fugazi’s Guy Picciotto. All I can say is that these albums are amazing. Give them a listen.

This hasn’t seen the light of day since RSD2017 so I’m making it my inaugural spin through my new phono amp. Sounds great despite the customary Fat Possum lacklustre pressing quality.
