On this day in 2006 the Sex Pistols refused to attend their own induction into the RnRHOF and sent a vitriolic handwritten letter calling the whole thing a corporate sham instead. And that's more than enough for me.

Many bands today would love to write riffs and hooks this memorable. And the Pistols were rudimentary at best. Sometimes heart and emotion are more important than skill.
